31 Acres with Poison Ivy, Solution is Goats

We just plain love this story. Boston.com tells the story of what happened when 100 large trees “accidentally” got cut down allowing an environment in Boulder Brook Reservation, Wellesley, MA, for rampant Poison Ivy growth. The solution to the challenge facing the commission responsible for the reservation was further compounded by a desire to be ecologically sound. The solution? A team of six goats, “dressed for success in jaunty blue and pink bandannas”. A great little story with many lessons.

Also, meet “The Goat Girls” themselves here.

Hope the Goat’s owners and handlers have Tecnu handy!
